Neighborhoods is a lengthy autobiographical journey by turns serious, graphic, sad, and redemptive, with an underlying sardonic humor that lifts the book out of despair and into rebirth. A full-bodied volume of poetry by a mature artist. Jesse Millner has published four poetry chapbooks: The Drowned Boys (March Street Press), On the Saturday After the Rapture (Main Street Rag Press), I Give You This Ghost and Holy Numbers (Pudding House Publications). The Neighborhoods of My Past Sorrow is his first full-length bound collection. Jesse teaches at Florida Gulf Coast University and lives with his wife, Lyn, and dog, Sam, in Fort Myers, Florida.
